Girls weekend!!

We had a GREAT long weekend. A lot going on here at the ZoBell home. Jordan and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary, I turned 29, and my sisters and mom came for a girls weekend. We do one every year and this year everyone wanted to come to Arizona. I don't know why :) It's only been in the 70's down here. Our weekend consisted of shopping, sewing, and eating lots of good food. We managed to make the living room looked like a sweat shop with three sewing machines set up and material scattered all over. We made a really cute scrapy pillow and a few other things but that was our main project. I'm excited about two new resturants we visitied. Vito's a pizza place and Joe's Farm Grill, both were tasty. Nothing better than having family come and visit. Wish they could have stayed a few more days.

Trip to Utah

Plane ride home. Finn and Jet both slept half the flight, was I ever happy. If your asking why Finn has a pink binky, it's because Gus (my dad's dog) literally chewed the others up :)

I got together with some good friends including Skye.
We had a few nice runs together, thanks Skye.

The kids and I sure had a nice vacation up to Utah. We were able to spend two weeks there. We had fun ice skating with family, visiting friends, going to the movies and just faving fun. We also celebrated my Grandpa's 90th birthday. How would it be to be 90 years old? Even though we had an enjoyable time up there I was SOOO excited to come home and see Jordan. He had to stay home and work, thanks Jord for doing that. He's a great husband and father. So it's back to our little routine here in Queen Creek, AZ, but sometimes it's nice to get back to routine. I'm looking forward to this new year!!

The in-laws are here visiting for the Christmas break.
We have a few things planned, Mesa temple,
lots of good food and hopefully some sunny weather.
I'm looking forward to Christmas day
because Jet is getting a wooden train set.
It should be fun to see his little reaction.

Jet's Aunty Brit bought this seventies suit for Jet about a year ago.
It finally fit's him and he's been sporting it to church quite often.

The adventures of Finn and Jet!

Finn wearing Jet's safety glasses. Jet's first day as a bike courier :) Jet wore these beanies and this helmet for most of the day. His outfit also included Finn's levi's which looked like capri's on him. I was just proud that he put it all on by himself.

My most recent project

I saw this pattern last spring at a quilt shop and had to make them. It's called "New Traditions Pillow Collections" by Julie Popa, she's a designer from Smithfield. I was happy with the outcome.

New Job

I started my new job at the Scottsdale Healthcare Hospital, trauma-1 center on October 12, 2009. I work in the cardiac unit as an RN, a step up in pace, learning curve and intensity. I've never seen so many patients get mad at me. The last place they want to be is in a cardiac unit on bedrest, hooked up to heart monitors/EKG's, medicated, and advised what to do. They came from the ER and they want to go home. I don't blame them. The heli-pad is on the roof, a look outside the windows of our unit and there are the helicopters and the sound of their adrenaline-like noise. Overall I would say "a wonderful learning experience working here @ Scottsdale healthcare, Osborn Hospital."

2009 SLC Bike-a-THONG

In May 2009, My buddies and I did a 2 day, jam-packed biking trip to the Salt lake area (Lambert Park, Bonniville Shore Line, Little Cottonwood Canyon, and the Luge). We biked till our legs went out. We then went to eat out at a great BBQ restaurant, and then ended the night watching the Terminator at the movie theatres. Dr. Hicken was soooo funny, he acts like a kid alot! The other picture is of the "DOG HOUSE" Dr. Hickens 4x4, diesel van specifically made for the outdoors. It also has a bed, flat screen tv, USB ports, and it fits up to 10 bikes (holy smokes that's alot of bikes). One day Bess and I will have a van like this one, except it will be ran by natural gas cause we are going GREEN!

Our House is a very very very fine house...

Here's a few pics of the house..... we've tried to make it our own.
I still have a few things in mind I'd like to do to it, but for now this will do. .

SPooKY FuN!!

We had a great Halloween night. Our ward had a carival for the kids and then trunker-treating. Jet and Jordan dressed up as spooky skeleton's. Finn and I were party poopers..... but we still had fun. Jet loved the trick or treating, he couldn't believe all you had to do was hold your bag out and they'd give you candy. He's in heaven with the stash he now has. It was a good night!!
